ZAGREBACKI HOLDING in coordination with Velika Gorica Municipal Administration has requested a loan from the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development and intends using the proceeds to finance renewal of the buses providing public transport bus services to and from Velika Gorica Municipality and the Zagreb conurbation. The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of about EUR 8.5 million, will be implemented for the supply of buses to be used on urban and suburban routes serving Velika Gorica.
The project to be implemented by ZAGREBACKI HOLDING is expected to require the procurement of the following goods:
  • Supply of some 35 new Buses which will be modern low-floor citybuses conforming to EURO 4 emissions standards

Prequalification of tenderers, if any, for the above contracts is expected to begin in the 2nd Quarter of 2008, while tendering is expected to start in the third quarter of 2008.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under any law or official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
